VISION FOR THE LOST

Luke 15:4

II Corinthians 4:3

You and I meet people no matter where we go. Could be said there are a world of people around us. Do we have the burden we should have?

God had to take Jonah through an obstacle course before he would bow to His will. The word of the Lord came unto him. "Go to Ninevah".

Now it doesn't take a lot of theology to understand what God was saying. God knows a lot about us, knows if we have a mortgage payment, car payment, He knows your roots are

likely planted not too far from where you were born. You know the postman, grocery man, your co-worker's kids and where they go to school.

He may never ask you to

leave familiar surroundings. Just speak the gospel to the sinner, get bold, do it soon. You are their only link to a wonderful Savior.

Proverbs 29:18 where there is no vision the people perish.

When is the last time you got in contact with a kid from a broken home and asked them to spend a few hours with you?

I appreciate we give to foreign missions (Global Missions) monthly, but what about home missions. It's a mission filed right on our door step!

Back to Jonah-

God had to speak to the wind and rocks, then the waves of the ocean and it began to rock that big boat. Jonah was thrown overboard and swallowed by a big fish. While a few days in the belly of the fish he had time to think about the call of God. He was ready to speak to a lost city who knew not their right hand from their left.

We need to see more names written down in the Lamb's Book of Life here in the surrounding towns of Old Town. It can be done if we work together and have a greater vision for the lost.
